Common questions

The night screen doesn't start by itself

Open Customize → Bedside and turn on “Open on charge”. Ovela starts its night screen when you plug the iPhone in while the app is open. The iOS StandBy screen is a system feature and can't be replaced by an app — you can add the Ovela widget to it instead.

The clock doesn't turn when I lay the phone on its side

Customize → Bedside → “Rotate with the phone”. It follows the phone even when Portrait Orientation Lock is on.

The alarm didn't ring

Ovela schedules alarms through Apple's AlarmKit, so they ring in Silent mode and in Focus. Check that Ovela is allowed to schedule alarms in iOS Settings → Ovela, and that the alarm is switched on in the Alarms tab.

Sound stops during the night

That's the sleep timer. Open Sounds → Sleep Timer and pick “All night”.

Manage or cancel a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple: open Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Restoring a purchase on a new device: the “Restore” button on the subscription screen.

Delete your data

Everything Ovela saves — clock designs, photos, alarms, sounds — lives on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes all of it. See the Privacy Policy.
